Educate me on what active mid-boost and TBX circuits are.
Purpose, advantage, and any other accessory needed with them?

If you want to get a feel for what both do sound wise, check out either the EC model or the Powerhouse sStrat. The mid-boost acts more to give it a humbucker sound. the TBX is what is known as a tone bypass circuit, its a detent spot at the beginning of the pot that is wired so that instead of going threw the windings of the pot, it bypasses it all together.

Hope that helps some

Thanks, that helps some but it is getting a little deep for me.
I am going to go to a dealer to hear the real thing I guess.
Thanks again. Don

Its well worth the listen.. I also wanted to point out that the Deluxe Powerhouse Stratocaster utilizes a dummy coill under the pickguard . Itsbetween the selector switch and the vol an first tone pot. The purpose of this puppy (if your not already familiar with it) is that coupled with the fact that the middle pickup is not reverse wound, makes every position Humbucking. Sweet little addition. While I love the guitar and 90% of everything on it, I thought the pickups were weak. I replaced mine with a set of 2004 Fender Am Sts. I now play it more tham ny Am Std as well as my 50th Anniversary and its a MIM
