Hey guys. I just picked up a 2008 Deluxe American Strat from Guitar Center. I paid 999 for it since it's 2 years old from the 2010 model.

Do you guys think that the price was ok? Just wanted to know if I got a decent deal, the guitar is mint!

I would have bought it for that price.

That is a very good price if it was sold to you as a new guitar with warranty - if I'm remembering correctly they sold for around $1,300-$1,400 (depending on color and ash vs. alder body) back in 2008. It would be an okay price if it was sold to you as a used guitar - I've seen used ones anywhere from $800 to $1,000 depending on color, condition, model, etc.

If it was sold as new than it is a decent price.
