Does anyone use strings like that? As I am an acoustic guitar player, my fingers are used to have more tension under them, so I would like to have harder strings. Soft strings are bendind even when I don't want them to bend. I would also like wounded g3, as the normal g3 is quite jingly for me. I found Ernie Ball jazz strings 013. Does anyone know strings like that? Does it sound well on a Stratocaster? Otherwise do you know any other good „jazz“ strings?

Stevie ray Vaughn Played with 13 until his guitar tech told him to go to 12's becuse he was shredding up his fingers.. Going to strings that thick will requier some minor alterations. New Nut, truss rod adjustment, etc. Stevie also played 1/2 step down. becuase it does create alot of tension on the neck. Also he had put jumbo frets placed in a custom fretboard so he could space the frets out a bit.

Do they sound good? F#cking yeah they do! You get a deeper sound, alot of growl. My brother plays with 12's on his strat(SSH) sounds real good and he plays through a Vox. Look into it. SRV may not be the style for you but the tone is significantly different, deeper. but thicker strings will require more guitar attention. Good Luck.
