hey gang, i bought this guitar in late 1988, it has the tbx tone pot, and just would like to know how the production numbers were in those early post cbs yrs. i laugh when i see the s# , had GC dude tell me it was a 84, lol not. i reconize scott buehl, but whos initials are those?

I don't think that Fender ever releases production numbers except for something they say is going to be a "limited run of XXX guitars".

Very nice guitar; seems to me that might be among the last of the E4XXXXX numbered American Standards (although someone on the board has an E4 Strat Plus with a neck stamp in July 1989).

sweet, thanx for the reply. her and I parted ways for a good part of 20 yrs.(had to pawn it to a relative,he was a bass player, so she didnt get used much..whew..) was able to buy it back recently for 550.only 25 more than he gave me for her back then..lol . ive been tryin hard to get it back...his engine blew in his car and he..lmao needed money.
