Why?

Because the characters are iconic figures of rock and roll popular culture of the 1990's

Although they are not musicians, music fans, MTV fans etc. connect with BB. Most of us have known or know pre-teen/early teen male figures reminisant of the boys.

If I am not mistaken similarly there was a "Waynes World" Squier.

Nostalgia!
Fun!

Beavis and Butthead were funny as HELL and though they did wear AC/DC and Metalica Shirts and would rock out with air guitars. I wouldnt name them iconic figues of Rock n Roll pop culture. They were more 90's pop culture Icons.
And Wayne's World!? WAYNE'S WORLD!!!!! Dont get me started on them. I hate them! I know that Heavy Metal and Rock and roll was on it's way down mainly because of all the cookie cutter glam bands that were hanging around. But Wayne's World stereo type of City and suburban Rock fans look like the every nerds you beat up in school. It's no wonder that every one turned to Hip Hop and Alternative when these movies came out. I was in high school when these movies came out and I jumped on the Alternative Train it was the easier transition for me, I had a guitar, my car didnt have some high dollar stereo. But a trip down to the thrift store and a few vintage shirts and a couple flanels later, tuning my guitar to drop "D" and I was back in buisness.

Andy,

If not a Fender, perhaps a Squier product, which actually makes more sense as a pubescent boy is more likely to have a Squier than a MIA or MIM.

Since the boys are back for new episodes in 2011, why not MTV, Beavis and Butthead signature models.

Thanks for the boost! Please some imput on colors etc.

OL

There's no Beavis Stratocaster at this time. There is, however, a Butthead Stratocaster marketed under the name, John Mayer.

I just sat down with a crisp, dry martini made with Tito's Handmade Vodka (distilled 6 times) for some serious research on fret end polishing / filing, whatever. Holy crapola, this made my day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Glad to see they are coming back.

Not to bring up a dead issue, but what about the bodies of each guitar would be the color of the shirts that were worn. and the fretboard and neck to match the each respective hair color.

So The Beavis would be that faded Blue with a maple fretboard
and the Butthead would be the faded Grey with Rosewood fretboard.
and the head stock Would have the respective name "The Beavis" "The Butthead"
and the neck plate would have the beavis and Butthead logo etched into it.
put in some grunge sounding pickups and there you go!

Since you brought it up - the head stock should be carved in a facial silhouette of each of the boys to include the distinctive noses. I'll bet an artist in the group could design an awesome set of head stocks. Damn, I had put this behind me

Really B & B Strats ???
I realize they are iconic and I enjoyed them as much as anyone.
Take a poll and see how many would be interested in such pieces.

Those are great suggestions for schemes. I have my eyes open for some Squier Strat candidates for this project.
