looks like the description matches your photos.

As far as what to make of it, well, you have a Fender Stratocaster! :D :D

If you like the way it plays and sounds, there's no need to change a thing. If you're like many of the folks on this board (guilty as charged) and just can't leave it alone, there are endless options you will read here to separate you from your hard earned cash in the never ending search for the perfect tone.

That's one thing I'm finding out about Fender Strats. They are so easy to modify that one can spend nearly as much time modifying them as he/she does playing them.

My 1998 MIM Strat has been modded to the point the only things original to the guitar are the body, bridge, and neck. Everything else has been swapped out at one point or another.

Does it sound better? I don't know. Does it sound different? Yes. Do I have fun swapping out parts and testing different stuff? Yep.

Have fun with your new baby. It is a very pretty guitar and one that should offer you a lifetime of enjoyment. (Lifetime or until the next round of "I need a new guitar" GAS hits you then, well, you're a guitar player you know the story).

You said a mouth full Jeff.
I've had my eye set on getting new Pickups for the guitar. I would like to get some pickups that were pulled out of a 50's or 60's strat but Im sure I'm not going to have any luck with that. But I do have Some fender Custom Shop Texas Special Pickups in mind/. anyne here ever use those?

Ha ha - that's where it all starts!

I think you're among friends and kindred spirits on this board. I've only been hanging around a month or so but I can say it's a "guitar tinkering bunch."

So what to do what to do? I dont want to open a new thread for this and I know there is probably aready one out there for it. But Now I cant decide.
Im looking at the
Fender Fat Strat 50's and the Fender Texas Special Pick ups, both claim to give a fat sound. I dig the SRV sound which some claim the Texas Specials will give but others say other wise. but in real life SRV had a vintage fender with actual 50's stock pickups.
Has any one tried these pickups? I play through a Hotrod Deluxe no pedals, with .010 gauge strings.
