Well here are some pics.

Nice looking Strat. It looks like you've got a 1999/2000 MIM Standard Strat (from the MN9 serial number - "N" is for "Nineties" so "N9" is for "1999". MIM serial numbers change over mid-year so the "MN9" would have run roughly from mid-1999 through mid-2000.

If you email that number to Fender Consumer Relations they should be able to verify the year, color, and even the dealer the guitar was originally shipped to.

the parts look just like my MN82XXX MIM Strat did before I made a bunch of mods to it.

By the way, that is one very pretty guitar, love the neck. the maple neck on mine is as plain as a mud fence. It is straight, true and plays good but it sure isn't much to look at.

Sorry...Should have mentioned that the serial is also on the front of the headstock. I assumed you were referring to a more recent version.

Beautiful Mexican. It would cost more than $300 to fake that. Really impressive neck and the body looks like one-piece, which is unlikely but damned if I can see the joins. Great buy.

Ahaa, That explains it. My knowledge of MIM bodies was based on my 3 piece, but that's a Deluxe Players. Still very nice though, the veneer works well with the sunburst.

That's all the info. Im not sure what to make of it. I went from Les paul style guitars to this being my first stratocaster so Im not sure what to make of all the info. They couldnt tell me were it was shipped or any thing like that, but bottom line Fender says it apears to be genuine Stratocaster.
