I have a made in mexico stratocaster serial #MN5161267; is that a valid serial #? thanks

Seems reasonable for a 1995-1996 MIM Fender. We would need photos to authenticate it. The best thing you could do is to email Fender Consumer Relations; they can tell you if it is a legit serial number and what the specs of the guitar should be.

They will reply with all of the information they have and they reply back rather quickly

Well.......Consumer Relations...who i also recommend :O) ....may not find this one....but I am sneakier than they are..(Evil laugh here)

.....I DO find that serial number without the letters in our database (sometimes folks don't enter data correctly...pffft)
So....if your guitar is a Made in Mexico Standard Strat in Lake Placid Blue with a Maple Fretboard, then it is probably valid and it probably was "born" 4/20/95 and shipped to an authorized Fender dealer in Montana 4/25/95 Part number would be 013-4602-502
