Hey Guys, I just had warmoth make me a custom pickguard for my 2004 American strat. Over all the pickguard is nice but with a few exceptions, All the screw holes lined up perfectly but the cut out for the bridge is a bit off center and the cut out for my bridge pickup(humbucker) is slightly off. The center of pole pieces aligned perfectly over the strings before with my old pickguard, but now all the poll pieces sit to the right side of the strings. If I raised the pickup till it touches the strings all the poll pieces touch the strings but just by a hair. I was wondering how this may affect my sound or sustain if any. or if it's not a big deal at all. Thanks

Contact Warmoth. Tell them what the problem is (send photos if possible) and tell them you want the pickguard replaced with one that is cut properly. Refuse to pay shipping charges if they want the old one back, as the problem is of their own doing. Do not accept the pickguard as it is.

Thanks Bill, Will do. My only concern was that being how the pickguard was made to my specs. it took like two week to get it in the mail. I would hate if the asked for the pick guard back before they would consider replacing it. That would put my guitar back out of commission for another 3+ weeks. I did not even keep the old pickguard off the guitar because it was like a cream peraloid(horrible to look at). But I do want it to be takin care of, so I'll call them and see how far I get. Thanks
