I've recently decided to replace the tuners on my MiM 60's Classic Player's Strat ,so I picked up a set of Gotoh's Kluson style tuners (locking) from StewMac. In replacing them, I found the ferrules to be just a hair too small and fell out easily. Is that normal? Are the ferrules/ holes in the MiM strats really that different? I mean, I know the difference between metric and English measurements, but still...

Anywho, if anyone has some advice on replacing the stock tuners on the MiM, I'd like to hear some. Options even. I'm kinda the beginner type on this stuff.

Thanks much in advance.

You may want to take a look at some Grovers.

They are stock replacements for vintage style axes.
