Yes, they do, the new MIM Blacktop only comes as a HH. There is also the the Dave Murphy and Jim Root artist models.

As too the sales, when most look for a HH most player look to Gibson.

The Dave Murphy signature Strat is not listed in the products page.

Did you mean a Squier Artist signature model, perhaps? Or a more expensive Custom Artist?

David uses a Strat with dual humbucker pickups, though his guitar is not actually on the Fender pricelist yet. But he deserves an Artist signature Stratocaster for sure.

Any pics of this guitar?

Sorry. I meant the Dave Murray.

The Dave Murray Strat has an HSH setup. Two huge-sounding DiMarzio humbuckers are sandwiching an American Vintage '57/62 single-coil!

Dave uses the same guitar, except she got a Texas Special single-coil pickup in the middle, 5-way switching and a Floyd Rose locking tremolo!

yep, she packs some power options for sure.

quite a bit different than the 495.0 for the mim hh strat i picked up. she's got a cavity for single coil already, maybe i'll drop one in.

Get an HHH setup if you want more tonal options. Throw a Duncan HotRails humbucker in the middle position and add a push-pull pot for coil-tap.

Dave uses Custom Classic Stratocasters with three HotRails humbucking pickups.

Actually quite the opposite. Did you see any on the shelves? No, because the sell them as quickly as they come in. Signature models: you may need to order them as not everyone can buy one. Let me ask you this, who'd want one that every kid and adult in a tri-county area has had their hands and sweat all over it?

I absolutely love my Blacktop Stratocaster. I have to admit it is no Gibson, but that is why I love it. Not too heavy or bulky.

well, no i didn't see any on the shelves which is why i asked. just prior to buying my fsr HH, there were quite a few "blacktops" there, though only one fsr like mine. i didn't have the money for the "blacktop" though i wish i had bought it instead of the fsr i did. that is due to the fret size diff and a couple other things but no big deal. i love this guitar but i've put enough extra money into it to get it to "fit/suit me" i'd been better off getting the "blacktop" i think.

certainly no disrespect to the HH strats, as i mentioned i really like mine. another reason i bought it, "note: i had never touched a guitar prior", was the fact it was a bit different and i could afford that model and GC guy sold me on it.

i was just curious in my own weird perfectionistic way

Sorry, I did not mean to come across brash. After re-reading my post, it could be taken out of context of friendly jiving.

Aside from FSR, signature models, and the new Blacktop series, Fender Stratocaster are generally SSS or HSS. I am sure your guitar is great. Have fun with it.

Most FSR Strats are routed for three humbuckers, as well as some Squier Stagemasters.

I've seen a couple of pics showing this early Squier Stagemaster from 1999 in Galactic Purple with an HHH setup and a Floyd Rose licensed trem on eBay. Stagemasters were usually available in HSS, HH and HSH.

i think that is a pretty slick looking guitar myself. the cavities cutout on mine are HSH with nothing in the S cavity currently.

i'm looking about the following site for wiring possibilities. they have a lot of opts for 4x5 switch:

I like the HHH a lot, it's an extremely versatile configuration.

With a 5-way super megapole switch and the S-1 system you can get everything from classic single-coil to crazy overdriven humbucking and so on. The 25dB mid-boost and a blower switch would make the HHH pickups a real tone monster.
