I want to put a decal on the headstock of a replacement neck. It's birdseye maple with a satin finish. I'd like to protect the decal in some way, but not sure what would be the best method. Spray on coating, something painted on, what? I don't want to detract from the satin finish or have something overly glossy and distracting.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Yep, DEFT at lowe's is good. Just be sure that if it is a water slide decal, let it dry for 24 hours after you put it on before spraying anything over it, or it will wrinkle and look like crap.
