Yes, very Zappa-esque. And, the way it rolls off of the tongue is almost like a song...

Jeff the treacherous cre-tin,
Lived in Ken-tuc-ky,
And frolicked in the forum mist,
In a land so Fen-dery.....
(Think Puff the magic dragon)

BTW JIC, no offense intended, Ky is my home state. :)

No offense taken. I'm a hillbilly bluegrass picker at heart. Been playing acoustic bluegrass for over 30 years. Funny thing is I do still have most of my teeth.

From Kentucky, the land of fast women and beautiful horses (or is it the other way around???).. :-)

Jeff - the treacherous Cretin..

LOL! I was out in KY a few summers ago. Had a great time. Oh one of my best friends I grew up with, who in the 70s, who could whip out any Carlos Sanata or Al Di Meola lick, and then years later turned to classical jazz and swing, now just recently converted to playing Blue Grass on a Banjo! I told him he need to take some meds.....but then again he is from my home state of Montana!!!! What can I say????

If you need a few banjo jokes, let me know. :-)

I will be getting together with my buddy this weekend. I will take my Martin. What is fun is doing Jazz and Blues with a banjo and acoustic guitar. He is really good at improvising. Stormy Monday with banjo and acoustic guitar.... or Moon Dance by Van Morrison......LOL...crazy.... And some blue grass standards as well! Maybe we could do some Floyd...like Another Brick in the Wall......

A young lad was sitting on a bridge throwing tamborines into the river.
A man walked by and asked why he was throwing those perfectly good tamborines into the water.
Well, the boy replied, I have to kill them before they grow up to become banjos. :D

I want a banjo just like the character "Banjo" had in one of the "Zapata" movies with rival Lee Van Cleef (secretly his partner). You could say that Banjo really "killed 'em" with his banjo, Pow!!!

Q: What is the difference between a banjo and a South American Macaw?
A: One is loud, obnoxious and noisy; the other is a bird.

Q: What is the difference between a banjo and an Uzi submachine gun?
A: An Uzi only repeats 40 times.

All in fun....
