well, i personally think a strat is "sexy" they have a contoured body and a long slender neck...unless you like the ones with the fat necks...lmao OMG and the sexy sounds they make when you place you fingers in the right spot...and stroke her ...wait...we talkin about women , or strats..well either way , Welcome Sexy!!

Tell your friend hes full of crap, you can play that amp any where if you mic it. You can play a full arena, auditorium, etc if you mic it! Your singer will have a PA or at least he should. Ask him/ her if you can mic it. You'll be fine. Even if you venture out of the small clubs and into the bigger stages with a house PA thier sound techincian will know how to make you sound good and even if you have the badest loudest amp like some crazy all tube Marshall FullStack guess what it just became a part of a backline and that house sound man wont even let him crank that volume knob past 4! I played with a vintage Bugera 5 watt tube amp and had no issues playing it in an open park with a band while it was mic'ed through the PA we were using.
So if your buddy is just saying that because he's got a monster amp complex just tell 'em he or she is a tool.
Believe it or not and all the active musician here will tell you the same. with drums, Bass amp, guitar amps. the amp level should be high enough to make noise but low enough to where you can still hold a conversation on stage. The large sound is just smoke and mirrors.
