Hi,
I purchased an american standard stratocaster a few years back, well at least I thought I did. The serial # is Z5022501 (on headstock), which seems to be consistent with an american made strat from 2005.

It has come to my attention however that this may not actually be an american made instrument, well at least not all of it maybe. The bridge had a 6 screw attachment which seems to be more consistent with a mexican made strat. Also the chrome plate on the back of the neck/body attachment is blank.

I'm not an expert on Stratocaster identification, and I would appreciate it if someone could help me figure out if this is actually a vintage american made Strat or not.

sounds like a an early highway one. Before 2006 Highway ones had small headstocks with two string trees.

This strat does have two string trees, and the smaller headstock. the small headstock is what confused me. Most highway ones I'm familiar with have the larger head.
