Post subject: Custom Blackface Strat

I modeled this after my 65' Twin Reverb and used a mexi as my base, people seem to like it so I thought I would post a pic here as well as the Fender lounge.
The amp in the pics is a 66' Champ
When I put together the Pickguard I installed 69' custom shops and new pots and a bone nut.
The tolex does darken the guitar a bit but not nearly as much as I expected, all in all a pleasing tonal difference.

I was going to say, how is the wood going to breathe? :P That being said, that guitar is freaking awesome, is that grill cloth on the pickguard? ^^
