Hi all

I have lurked here before, but never posted. Just picked up a new (to me) guitar, and thought I would share. My new one is the mahogany one you see below, really like it so far. My 17yo son gets a bonus, he gets to use my white MIM, also pictured below.

I enjoy reading what you guys discuss here, and hope to someday become knowledgeable enough and play well enough to be able to make a positive contribution. For now, just the images (also my Schecter C1, Blues Jr, and pedals in the pic)

Welcome to the forum. The Crimson Red looks nice on the mahogony body, much darker than the one I had but that was Alder. I'm sucker for red guitars :)

From one newby to another, welcome! What were the main reasons you bought the Mahogony model? I'm hoping to buy my first strat soon and it's on my top 5 list. Looks like you and your son are setup pretty well. Hope your wife likes music. :D

Beautiful fenders. What model amp is that? I just bought a fender g-dec 30. I am hoping it will help me move along with my practice sessions. For now, I am afraid it may be a little too techy for me. I don't know what to do with all the features.

Fender Blues Jr. like it very much. Simple, nothing techy about it at all, just great sound!

First thing you need to do host the image on your personal space by your ISP or a free one like Photobucket then get the link and use the Img button to add the picture to your reponse.

Yeah, thankfully the whole family likes music, although apparently my little blues jr gets a little too loud at times!

I bought it used, and just really liked the weight and feel of it. It is interesting, too, the sustain is loooooooooooooong, almost as long as my schecter in the picture which can hold a note for days.

I really did not pick the wood specifically, but it is also interesting that the schecter is the same makeup as the new strat, and I really like them both. Mahog body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard. Hmmm
