Hi all,

Recently I bought a 3 months old left handed American standard stratocaster from a guy. Checked the serial number with fender, was ok, he had the original suitcase, papers etc etc, even guarantee certificate. However, at home a discovered some 'weird' things.

1. Is it correct that the left handed knobs should be turned counter clockwise?
2. Where should the '10' on the knobs be at? I assumed the 10 would be on top (12o clock) like on my older squier, but it's somewhere around half past 6 (seen from above.
3. Is it correct that the knobs are attached in a slight 'curve'? By this I mean the volume knob has the name 'straight' with the board, and the tone knobs are more 'diagonal' ?
3. When I compare the output sound of my squier, it seems to be much louder than my fender with the same settings. Why is this?

Left handed pots rotate in the oposite direction from right handed ones.

You can orient the knobs on the splined shafts any way you want. There is no right or wrong way.

Different pickups on the two guitars.
