Hi I'm new to this forum. I am looking forward to reading the posts and learning some new stuff. At the moment I own a Rory Gallagher strat which I love but am having a slight problem with. One of the bridges needs replacing and I can't get in touch with fender for a replacement. Has anyone got any ideas Cheers Paul.

Hi there and welcome on board.

When you say "one of the bridges", I assume you mean a bridge saddle? How did you break one of those?

You can buy these on the internet - do a search for replacement stratocaster bridge saddles. Or maybe your local music shop has access to a guitar tech? He or she may have some laying around..

Got an old strat style guitar sitting unused somewhere? Take a saddle off that - the ones off a Yamaha Pacifica fit just fine!

Good luck!!

Thanks Adey for your quick reply. I'm sorry I meant saddle, one of the screws that raises the hight has striped its thread. I'll check around. Thanks again fot your help Cheers Paul.

Chances are that the saddle is fine. A replacement grub screw is probabbly all you need.
