They had a lot of vintage Strats and Strat Plus'. I tried emailing them sometime back and the email did not work, and that was about a year ago.....so you might be right ... The Bill Collector! They were 2nd runner up to my web site on Google for Strat Plus' guitars...

I just noticed they were gone too. I used to visit pretty often just to check out their inventory.

Hi,
I just noticed them missing last week as well. I bought a 68 strat that was once owned by Strat Collector and I used to use the link to their page to show people my guitar when I wasnt at home. Clicked on the link the other day and they were gone...

Hey Mike, the website you give reference too is not the same site. The one you provided has been around for years and I even downloaded it in an Explorer file and use it for reference from time to time. The Strat Collector was a site that sold guitars and had a lot of info on it. Several years ago they asked my permission to published some of the items off my website about Strat Plus guitars (giving credit of course, but now the site is gone. I emailed them a bout 9 months ago to tel them there was some out dated data on their sire about Plus guitars and the email bounced back as undeliverable. now the whole site is just gone....

You're right, I linked the wrong site, sorry Mr X, this is what I have bookmarked but I see that much of it is gone now :

http://www.danyablonka.net/ocw/scoll.html

Maybe try googling Dan Yablonka through those data sites? (spokeo, linkedIn, etc)?

Jim and Dan both were working together for awhile, IIRC?

edited to add -
This is his new site I guess...scroll to bottom for Strat Collector link.

I have some of his guitars in my collection. When I saw him missing in action I wrote to his personal email to see what was going on, but haven't heard back yet. I'll pass on whatever I hear.

Look under his "written articles" and scroll to bottom. He is based in CA.

The owner is mark McCann and he was based in Florida. I enjoyed that site and linked it a good bit when people had a "1984" 1987 American Standard on Ebay.

I hope the site comes back!
