Many years ago I came to a fork in the road. My first strat. I was raising two boys and money was not abundant. There was a strat on the wall of a music store that i wanted but could not justify, But the strat kept calling.(when a strat talks to you,,Listen) I was so torn between spending 'what was then a chunk of money for me' or finding something cheaper that i went to the medicine man. He asked me how much pleasure the talking guitar would bring me. I told him a lifetime. His responce was "A small price to pay for a lifetime of pleasure". A few months ago i gave that strat to my grandson... He says it talks to him.

A HAUNTED STRAT!!!

Hey man, don't do anything crazy ok. You know that Defao cat (from the amittyville murders) voices were talking to him to, they told him to kill his folks. He did and look where he's at now.

Get rid of the guitar, burn it, crush it, do something.

Send it to me, I'll dispose of it properly, ceremony and all, no more worries.

Sometimes the guitar finds the player.

That is a very cool story.

The neat thing is that, often, the guitars we love the most are the ones we really couldn't afford to buy, but did anyway. The sacrifice, the screaming from the wife, the pain of missed bills....they all add to the mojo of the guitar you shouldn't have bought.

I have a Cure for the granson's new found voices "Issue" ....
WOW...
OK, take the grandson back to the medicine man, tell the medicine man
about the voices the boy is hearing from the Axe ... You get the Axe
back and the grandson is cured.... No harm no foul...everyone is happy.

Great story though...
