Does anyone else for for fun draw Strats and custom paint them (with crayon  )? I find it very fun. Who knows, you might just make your dream guitar. . .

If you brought it to the custom shop guys do you think they would build it for you? (I'm nowhere near good enough for a custom shop - or rich enough - just wondering if they would. As a kid its fun to hope haha)

Sure I used to when I was a kid, That is what it's all about.
The dreams that eventually become reality.

Absolutely nothing wrong with your gear, keep this in mind, the gear offered today under the $500 mark far surpasses the gear offered for over $1000.00 when I was a kid.

My first guitar was First Act. :) My mom didn't really know if I would take off with this guitar thing. Well I did, and this little music shop had a beautiful Fender. I wanted a Epiphone Custom (unknowing this Strat was there) but she pointed this out to me. I went in for my weekly lessons one day but my guitar needed new strings so I took the flame strat in with me, fell in love and here I am. haha

On the seeing my artwork, I would but am unsure how. I don't know how to post pictures 8) haha

I've only just learned to post pics myself. You'll need to use an image hosting site like Photobucket (IT,S FREE) Took me a while to master it though. I guess you'll be able to scan your art and then treat it just like a photograph. When I post, I just have my photobucket album running at the same time. Then I click on the image code for the picture I want to post and paste it into the post. The first step is to go to one of these sites and upload some images. There may be an easier way to use the technology especially for a young person. I'm in my 40s ( still want a guitar with flames though  )Image

Hi fenderflamestrat! We wanna see some designs!

I agree to what Boxbang says. It's quite easy once you know how. I made a little post that I throw onto the board every so often when there's a question about picture posting - it's got a few screenshots that might add to Mr. Boxbangs flawless description. :-)

I'd also create an account at photobucket.com or some other hosting service. There you upload the pictures.
You can embedd pictures if you paste links into the message you're creating, then highlight the link and press on the "Img"-button at the top of the menu.

Or, and even easier, you can trigger an already formatted link of the desired image straight from photobucket, and simply paste it into the message.

Right. I'm done with the lecture. Now let's wait for some drawings! :)

Cheers guys

This WAS my dream strat...

Image

I guess dreams really do come true.

Image

BTW!!! I DID NOT free hand draw the strat. I traced it from a book i found in my high school library. I did, however, add my own details to it! You can say I was a very "distracted" student. HAHA

That's awesome man! I used to draw them as a kid myself LONG before I knew how to play one! Also, my very first amp was a Peavey Backstage Plus! Keep at it!

LOL I dunno if you're talking to me or not but if you are the answer is NO. I did not go to the Custom Shop. It's a mexican made Standard strat that I dropped lace sensors into, replaced the plastic nut with bone and blocked the trem.

It really is my dream strat, minus the 22 frets part. But one fret is really not enough for me justify getting a new guitar haha.
