Hi,
This may be a stupid question (if so, please start the laugh tracks).

Will a neck from a Squirer fit on a Standard (MIM or US)?

I'm weighing options in a project build and never really thought about if a squirer neck would fit the standard bodies.

Just curious,
Thanks,
Jeff

The neck/body boltings on Squiers are approximately 1/4" lower than that of outright Fenders. It can be done but obviously, there will be doweling and redrilling of the neck heel involved.

A word of caution: Specs for Squiers are all over the place, depending on which Asian manufacturer had the contract for the one you have in hand. Consequently, the entire neck may be too thin and/or narrow to properly mate with an outright Fender body in spite of realigning the mounting screw holes.
