I recently purchased an American Standard SSS with an Olympic White finish. It's the first American made guitar I've owned — and I'm loving the way this baby sounds, and plays. It's a real beauty.

I wanted to share some pics with you guys, so here they are:

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! Looking forward to more guitar talk. I've definitely been playing more frequently since acquiring such a great instrument.

I may need to get some pointers on proper setup when I decide to restring. My last guitar had a tune-o-matic style bridge, so I haven't done many setups on a Strat. It's very nice OOTB, though.

Just got the same guitar a week or so ago. Loooove the Olympic White color. It looks so classy.

I restrung the thing without even thinking about the trem and went to 10s. After it was strung I noticed the trem was at a 45 degree angle. Whoops! You need to be very aware of the trem if you're changing sizes. Bigger strings are going to cause more pull, so you're going to have to move the claw screws in further.

If you like the way it is now, don't change anything. I went back to 9s and now the action seems a bit higher. Even when moving the trem back to normal. Should have to just left it alone. I'll probably take it in to be set up.

Thanks for the tip Pippers. I'll probably stay at .009s for a while. OOTB, I'm really loving the setup.
