1 Cut a angled bit of wood like this

2 put it between the tremblock and the cavity wall, like this.

Cut the block 2x1" . Angle the thickness 3/8" to 3/4" or it may be 1/4"-5/8".

You can buy pre cut wedges at most lumber yards. Don't buy the common cedar wedges used as shim for installing doors and windows. You want to use as hard a wood as you can find. (assuming your purpose is to increase sustain)
