Which looks better on this guitar? Maple or Rosewood?

Just because a neck is maple don't take it for granted that it's one piece as a lot of maple fingerboards are caps just as rosewoods are.My maple MIM Tele and Jimmie Vaughn Strat both have maple caps yet my '04 50th Ann. Strat is a one piece.
