Hi speedo: we've heard before that Fenders are expensive in Holland - though I don't know why.

Don't worry: here in the UK a new American Standard can be had for a little over £900, or around 1100 Euros. Most online sellers ship to mainland Europe at reasonable rates. Do a search on Google.co.uk and you will find what you need.
