I have no idea if it was still left setup as Jimi left it, but why in the hell would they restring it right-handed and let him mess with the setup just so he could play it.
Part of the value of having an instrument like that is to be able to see how it was set up by the player (at least IMHO).

It was messed with long before KWS played it. There is an article somewhere detailing it. But the Hendrix Woodstock strat has changed hands several times and has been flipped from Right to left a couple of times too. so it lost its original setup over 20 years ago when Mitch Mitchell sold it

It will always be my feeling that Erie Isley should have been given the honor of playing that guitar as he can play lefty(he's ambidexterous)and he has a very personal conection with Hendrix.Jimi took a very young Erine Isley under his wing when he played with Ernie's older brothers and gave him many invaluable pointers hence the great similarities in their playing styles.

Honestly its a guitar i think Jimi would prefer people to play it (righty or lefty) as long as they treated it well

I could understand if the guitar was kept in the same condition and had the same strings and stuff as when he got off stage after his set and then someone re strung it for a righty but that want the case so lets relax.

Mike Eldred from Fender had that guitar many years ago and took it apart and made 4 exact duplicates. One went to someone in Jimi's family ,one to a EMP museum, Fender kept one and the last was auctioned in London
