Hi, i have a 48th Street Strat which is custom made for Sam Ash (HSS configuration). Serial number is MZ2148358.

The problem that i have is regarding a pickup change. I just changed the three pickups and noticed that the pole pieces are not aligned with the high e and b strings. I bought two single sized humbucker for the neck and middle and one trembucker for the bridge. I think that i should have got a regular size humbucker instead. However, what intrigues me is that
the middle and neck pickup are less aligned with the strings than the trembucker.

Is the spacing of the strings in this guitar different than most fender strat?

I also notice that the space between the low e and the edge of the fretboard is smaller than that of the high e the edge. Do you think thik this is a factory defect?

If you go to the follwoing link, you can see some pics:

Hope you can help me
thanks,
jon
