im with some of the other guys on this. that guitar will be bought, setup, and played to hell and back. go recheck it out. look hard at the strings and see if they are bad. take your tuner and see if the intonation is in check. so many guitars can be brought back to life with some TLC.

i agree with niki. a good guitar store should keep their guitars in check at all times. it really does cost them for not doing so.
i think that if your under 18, mom and pop should be there if your playing the guitars.
why? it keep down the "mom drop me off here while your at krogers".
keeps the serious buyers in the foreground of the people in the store.
there are so many reasons. i remember when i was a kid and going to the local stores thats the way it was. they would keep an eye on you too. if you were seen there every weekend and wasnt a known buyer, you were limited on playing and service.
they would give ya the polite boot too if you were just lingering around.
wasnt nothing for a saleman to come up and flip the power on you quick.
one shop had the amps on a curcuit breaker. click, and nothing worked lol.
thats the way it still should be. so many parents use places like GC as a babysitter.

What!??? no big debates on how the wood doesn't effect tone and it's all in the pickups....or in the player's hands.....and that a Strat resonates when unplugged doesn't mean it will sound great plugged in..???
What's wrong with y'all?

Part of the reason why I don't go to the local nationwide chain store in our area is because of free-for-all Saturdays where all the shredder wannabes get Daddy to drop them off and play the urine out of $3,000 Les Pauls etc.You never know how long strings may have been on a guitar or if the string grooves are deadened by some kid's Big Mac sauce.I go to my local Mom and Pop shop where you only pick up a guitar if you are truly interested in buying it and not to show off how fast and out of tune you can shred.
