hi my first post though i've been trolling these forums for years now. anywho just wondered if anyone knows how many 60th diamond anniversary american strats were made? i know it was a special run and i picked one up a few months ago and love it, has the faux diamond on the headstock in a scroll, lovely burst, a delta tone control and a very fast C neck ( actually a little skinnier than i'm used to) anyway i'm wondering if it was a limited run or not..... any help would be mucho appreciated.... thanx

well no help here....i have to say though the more i play this guitar the more i like it, the combination of the 57/62 pickups with a delta no load tone control is fantastic... this definetly is a keeper and if anyone else has one of these they want to part with at a reasonable price let me know. thx

I believe you haven't gotten any responses because I don't think Fender ever released production totals for those "60th Anniversary of Fender" models; they were simply available for order during 2006 and Fender made as many as they could sell.

Sometimes Fender decides up front that they will only make a limited number of a "special" guitar (for example they only made 150 each of those "Ebony" and "Ivory" American Standards) and sometimes the guitar is just made for a limited time. Fender did the same thing with the "50th Anniversary of the Stratocaster" limited editions - they didn't set a number, they just accepted orders for them starting at the NAMM show in January 2004 through a cut-off date in late December 2004.

Congrats on your purchase. I see this was originally an old post.
I'm not sure on the numbers...
I know the topic has been flogged but the true 60th USA came in two versions I have seen and I have posted pics of both in the past. One version came in sunburst and another special in white blonde. If it is a different color than these it may not be the US anniversary model.
If it is a true anni it will have more than just a 60 metal disc on the headstock. All US Series manufactured strats made in 2006 have the metal disk.
It will have a neckplate stamped with a diamond clelebrating 60 years, a false jewel on the face of the headstock and will come in a silver solarium case with red interior with 60th embroidered on it.
Hope this all helps! :D
