O YAH! My strat is now in layaway!! Its sunburst with maple neck. I got the 07 instead of the 08. I got it for $200 cheaper. I played the 08 it didnt think it was much of a improvement (my oppinion). But im happy!! Now I just gotta wait for my income tax to come in so I can bail it out. Anyone know a good amp thats cheap and sounds good with the guitar?

O nice. Are you still liking it? I see you have a big collection. I talked to guy at GC and I just missed the clearance which sucked but he said all they had was the unpopular colors.

Yes, I'm liking it. Guitar center is always having incredible deals. You really have to watch out for them as sometimes they will have outrages deals not known to the public. You have to go in the store often and browse.

I just got the 08 American Standard Strat and bought the Vox DA 15 amp. The amp has many different special affects and works well with the Strat. The amp cost $140, not bad for all the different sounds it offers. I use the set up at home, I don`t play gigs so its good enough for me. I guess it all depends on what you intend to use it for.

If you are looking for a good amp to use with Fender guitars, look at their new Super Champ XD amp. I just got it, and it is a serious bargain for $250. I don't know what music you play, but this amp is really good for any of them. It has a really good clean channel that sounds a lot like a Blues Jr. and the different amp styles for the second channel give a lot of variability.
