Ebay will afford the most choices. Check out the vendor known as "The Stratosphere", they always have a great selection.

buy the neck first then send it to warmoth to have a body fit to the neck.

That is a good idea, thank you for letting me know. Are there anymore ideas besides the eBay guy? I sent him an email and he has not responded.

often times when you buy a body here and a neck there, they just dont fit together right. its just murphys law and thats that. i dont care what the measurments say sometimes they just dont fit right. something will be off.
so to me, the neck on a guitar is everything. other stuff we can work around if we need to. so buy the body you like and want to use. call warmoth and tell them you want to send the body over and have a neck fitted to that body. since your having a neck built, ya dont want to be stuck with something that doesnt fit.
i trust warmoth and everything they make. yeah sure something funky gets shipped out from time to time but thats with everybody. warmoth has a great rep and they give a damn about their rep and products. if they have the body in hand they can solidly fit a neck to that body and there will be no worries whatsoever when your package come.
when you buy from 2 different places, there is always that risk. once you recieve it its your baby bro. so the extra step to ensure a good quality fit is worth every penny and the peace of mind.

I guess I have been lucky then, Warmoth pockets have been 3 X 2 3/16 X 5/8 where I have never had that issue on a customers rig setting a neck.
In fact I have two warmoth neck here now that I just bought because I no I will use them for some one in the next 3 months. Needed one fast so I ordered 3 now ready for the next rush job.

the op is talking about mixing 2 different companies products.
you know as well as i do problems can rise from doing that.
i didnt say that either company has bad products because they dont.
i suggested that to avoid any issues send in the body to warmoth to make sure of a solid fit. nothing wrong with doing so. ive done it and will continue to do so any time i mix products being body/neck. so if youve never had that problem then either you havent done enough mix and match or, yes, you are a lucky man.

I think it’s a great idea. I am going to get a unfinished body if one don’t fit I am sure they have another that will.

30 years could not tell you how many! It's something that was standardized by Fender long ago. There are several known rigs that don't match but you know that going into them. Plus never said any were bad companies, even fender makes strats that won't take on certain strat necks. No what you have and what you need ahead you never have issue.
I guess I am just good at making them fit! I have even had people give me guitars that they mess the scale length up mounting the bridge wrong! You block, fill and redo it all can be fix FOR THE PRICE!!!!
I seldon do refrets anymore because the price of new necks it's usually just a few frets now days. Just got 3 necks from Warmoth and probably bought 10 the last year from them I would have to check account history. But you still get that 60's neck that people want done tho!!!!
Guns and Guitar are my thing, have many guitar and more guns!!!! Known for fixing both  But I am a Rigger at Heart and miss it dearly :( Get me 500+ foot up a tower I am Happy :D

in not so many words you can agree with my suggestion to the op?
not everybody has the skills or tools to fix issues we are talking about.
so, the only real way to avoid this issue is to get it right the first time
correct? again both companies do make very high quality products
and can work together to make a solid guitar worthy of any mans/ladies
hands.

Hefner makes a great product(that's all I use) that's reasonably priced and Bernie's a great guy!
