Hello All,

Last year I purchased a David Gilmour NOS Black Stratocaster. I was curious if anyone could enlighten me on the workings of the "on/off switch" for the neck pickup. From past experience, it seems the front pickup is active regardless of the position of the "on/off switch".

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Greg

The 5 way switch works like all strats. If you choose the neck then you get the neck regardless where the mini switch is positioned. All the mini switch does is add the neck to all position so in essence you are only getting 2 new combinations when it's engaged. One being the neck and the bridge together and the other is all 3 pickups engaged together. So, basically you have 7 different combinations rather than the standard 5. Make any sense? Hope so. Enjoy! I think I'm right
