Hi, I'm new to these boards and looking forward to reading and learning.
I've been away from the guitar for 30 years and took it up again this Fall.
I've been buying Bullets and re-fitting them. Love the work!
I'm also looking forward to learning more about the Mustang Amp, but I realize that's a different discussion board.
Nice to be here!

I'm not sure what this means. Care to elaborate?

Bullets are the model name for Fender's cheapest guitars. If you want to learn how a Strat is put together, there's no better way than disassembling one and upgrading the parts: trem block, saddles, pickups, tuners.

I wouldn't take a dremel to a $1500 American Standard, but I would (and have) modified the lowly $119 Fender "Bullet" extensively.
Here's the article with photos:

Squier Bullet series :?: :?: I have cannibalized one for the body and neck, as far as the components, they are good entry level but that is about it.
I'm not sure about the expense of buying them.
I think you would be better off in finding a used MIM or MIA for around $350, which after buying 2 or 3 bullets and spending a couple hundred dollars, on upgrading it is a moot point, not withstanding that you still have an entry level Squier, the body is much thinner than an MIM or MIA and the necks have very small frets, so as a one time project, " yes " but not as a series of projects.

But lest I forget my manners... " Welcome "
