That'd be great, however can i ask your opinion, should i just get the type with screws and forget about the type i want?

All parts have the screw version so it wouldn't be an issue getting them.

Question for Aspiring, with your Sperzels did they fit right into the hole on the headstock? (10mm measurement).

Well, if your like me you will not be happy until you get what your looking for. We do know they exist, and the model number, so lets work from there. I have about 5 parts place that I buy from.

Everyone here is pretty obsessive about their Strats, so your in good company and don't feel ashamed.

I am interested though that the tuners broke and not the wood You were lucky. Talk about "road worn"

You do want chrome, not brushed steel or gold, correct?

Colour is the last thing i'm worried about, literally anything would do.

You may have to use Sperzels. I just bought a set at Guitar Center. They're not left handed though I'm sure they make them. They are the type your looking for. No screws, just a dial pin. They're really nice.

I would love a set of Sperzels (best tuners imo!) however my headstock has 2 dial pin slots, Sperzels have one. :(

Oh, I didn't know yours had two. Well if you have access to a guitar shop you could take your guitar in and tell them what your looking for and maybe they can order the tuners for you or at least give you some advice.

If i am not mistaken he is emailing about the tuners that drop in and require no screws.

Same as what Allparts sells, but the E-Bay price is better. Buy them.

I don't know who you are talking to, but if you are talking about these:

http://www.guitarfetish.com/Now-STAGGER ... p_514.html

I already explained earlier why you don't want to use right hand tuners in a left hand guitar: They will be installed upside down (looks like crap) and will work backwards.

But yes, a 10 mm post is what you need.

Hi M_G: I'm late to this thread, but I am also in the UK, I happen to know about sourcing Schaller parts and I have four definitive possibilities for you.

1. Schaller are a bit quirky in their authorised dealer network. In the UK (and most other places) they have just one official distributor; they are Touchstone Tonewoods. Their website is a little, um, basic and also very annoying in its functionality, as you will see. Here is their page for Schaller locking tuners. What you want are what they call the mini-M6 "back locking" model:

http://www.touchstonetonewoods.co.uk/ttwp33.html

Since they are the authorised distributor if they don't show what you want (which they don't) you can ring them and they should be able to source it direct from Schaller. That's what their authorisation means.

2. You can talk direct to Schaller. Others here have done that and succeeded, but it doesn't sound like you are having much luck. You could always give them a phonecall - how's your German? From my experience I'd be amazed if you didn't find someone answering the phone who speaks good English, but you might be out of luck.

You know their website: I presume this is the model you are looking for. It says that if necessary you can order any combination of left and/or right tuners, so what you want is perfectly possible. Remember that if a dealer says it can't be done - it can:

http://guitar-machine-heads.com/hp32453 ... -Liste.htm

3. You can purchase from a supplier in Germany. Thomann is the obvious choice and they have a very big operation mailing all over Europe and they are easy to deal with in English. Here is their Schaller M6 Pin model locking tuner in chrome, though this is right-handed. You'll have to enquire about left-handed ones:

http://www.thomann.de/gb/schaller_m6lp_iklemm_ch.htm

4. In the US Stewart-MacDonald are the authorised distributor for Schaller. Although they are an ocean away their price is pretty competitive on this item and it is not unreasonable to buy from them trans-Atlantic, though be aware you will be charged sales tax on the purchase when it arrives. However, they are now comfortably way beneath the duty free limit so you don't have to worry about that. And Stew-Mac at last offer surface shipping in addition to air freight, if you are prepared to wait. Their air shipping with DHL is very good, often overnight. Here are the ones you want on their site - yet again you will have to enquire about left-handed, though again as an authorised dealer they should be able to order them if they don't have them in stock:

http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guit ... hines.html

Or there's always Ebay.

One last thing. You do understand that even if you get that screwless pin type of casing you will still have to drill holes for those pins? And you'd better know how to get those holes in exactly the right place or your tuners will go on forever crooked.

Unless your previous tuners were the pin type too, of course.

If you need more help just ask.

Good luck - C

Allparts does not list them on their website:
