With the Fishman Powerbridge and the L.R. Baggs X-Bridge you have all the advantages of an acoustic guitar in your fingertips.

Many of Pete Townshend's solid-body electrics are fitted with the Powerbridge, including the modified Eric Clapton signature models he uses since the first Who reunion tour in the late 1980s.

For one song in each of two consecutive shows in July 2002, Pete used a modified signature Blackie with a pair of "Black Dove" soapbars.

Yes. Though the position of the Piezo makes a lot of difference. The headstock gives stronger vibrations than the base of the neck - which gives more vibrations than the guitar body (this might be true only for strat/bolt-on necks...). So, [head --> base --> body] gives a [bright --> mid --> mellow] and [loud --> less --> least] progression in tone.

That said, the clarity I got from the cheapo piezo was amazing and the sustain of the guitar is definitely almost 2 times that you would get from the magntic pickups.

The piezo disc itself was wrapped up in Plasti-Dip like stuff to cut off the sharpness. I now want to run the alternate pickup line through my pedal chain to see what happens - though the output level of the piezo line is about 75% that of my pickup line.

Anyway, totally recommended for the experimenting kinds. Cheers.

Thanks for your reply.. I just bought a squire to experiment with.

I am going for a bridge position and head stock position and blend the 2.

Cheers
