hey guys!

most of you know the Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster. The guitar is available in Vintage White and with a Scalloped Fingerboard. Sadly, I don't like the Scalloped Fingerboard... :?
Is there a chance to get a Fender American Standard Stratocaster in Vintage White and without the Scalloped Fingerboard? :?:

I hope you guys can help me :) . This would be great! Thanks, Rob.

I have a 1990 model USA standard that has aged to the color you so desire! Buy used! I also have another, MIM strat that was released back around 1994 or 1995 that is this color. Used guitars are great, cause you save money, they are broken in, and you won't worry so much when taking them places!

That's true, but is there no other chance to get a Standard Stratocaster in Vintage White? I could take a Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster and change the neck, but that's too expensive... :( Used guitars are a good alternative, but I want a new one...

Thanks for the answer!

Wow! Thanks for the hint! Where can I buy this Fender FSR Thin Skin Strat and what is FSR? I think there's no way to get this guitar in Germany, right? :( :( :(

Buying the Malmsteen would be cheaper in Germany.

Cheers,
Robin

Location: In a house....unless I'm at work....then I'm in a shop.
Here is how I would go about this....

1) Find a Strat that fits me and plays the best out of all the ones I could find for sale.

2) Strip the guitar down and have a local painter paint it the color I wanted it to be.

Heck, while your at it, have them shoot it was lacquer paint, it won't cost that much more at that point.

Then you will have the guitar you really wanted, and save far more then having the custom shop build it for you.

OR, if you really want the best, Have the custom shop build you one, this way it will be prefect out of the box.

If you don't mind a rosewood fretboard, this one looks neat. And a good price, too. Also, this one has a matching headstock, which lots of people like, and is limited to 25 worldwide, which is definitely cool. There is only 1 left according to the website though, so hurry! I believe this retailer ships worldwide, based on what I read, but I am not certain.

There's also the guitar mentioned above which is seen in this link. I did a short search, and could not find anyone with this one in stock, though there were 150 made of this one. Also looks real cool. Perhaps if you watch ebay for this one you might have some luck.

Thanks! I really appreciate your hints. I will contact my local guitar builder and will see what it cost to get a new colour for a standard strat :D . The EU import taxes are really high... so the last option is to buy the stratocaster in the USA.

Thanks to all of you!

And when there is a guy from Fender please tell him, he should bring some new different guitars to Germany, because the shops are full of boring red, blue and olympic white guitars... :?

EU import taxes are high, but you pay em anyway, wherever you shop. Even in your own country. The tax is just added to the price.

Would you consider the Jimmie Vaughn Strat in Vintage White. With the old style headstock, maple neck and old style split post tuners it looks great and with the v neck and Tex Mex pups plays and sounds great too.I know that the J.V. is MIM but it really is a top shelf guitar in quality and every other way.
