I bought guitar before 2 days, and the only thing that is bothering is that i can't have my trem in place near strap buttons because it is swinging all the time. Tremolo tightens at the 3oclock position, and if i a lil bit use force lets say to tighten it at 4oclock position , later at the position of 3 o clock it is loose... So how do i fix this problem anyway ?

there should be a spring that u insert before you screw the trem arm in... this stops it from swinging... they dont all come with one but they are fairly easy to find... or you can use any short small strong spring... by strong i mean you shouldnt b able to compress it with your fingers alone... or for a quick fix, layer the threads on the arm with pvc thread tabe... ( you will have to replace this every couple of hours of use) so i suggest finding a spring...

yup any good music shop that has fender should have the springs... bt keeping the bridge too tight you can start to wear the threads after a while, if i were u id adjust the springs on the back of the guitar... either take some out if you still have it locked down with all 5 springs... or adjust the spring claw... set it so its just not floating but is easy to bend down... or if you want efortless trem then set it so there is about a 2mm gap between the back of the bridge and the body...

+1 on getting a spring. If you keep turning the arm to tighten it, you are not only wearing the threads, you are stretching the cheap metal the arm is made of, and eventually one day you will be using your tremolo and SNAP, the arm will break off, leaving the threaded portion broke off in the trem block. Get the spring! Order it off eBay or Amazon if you can't find one anywhere else!

Wrap the threads with a piece of teflon plumbers tape. It looks like this: http://www.bestnest.com/bestnest/RTProd ... =NS-048TEF This will tighten up the arm. Good Luck................ 8) Mike

You could try a little (3 wraps) of plumbers tape. It will allow you to keep the arm snug without overtighting. My trem block has a delrin sleve to help eliminate loose arm syndrome.
