This Strat is currently for sale on eBay.

Check it out here:

I don't know what to make of it. Large headstock with a "Made in USA" decal. But plain neckplate, and those aren't American-style saddles for a 2006 American Strat (if the serial number is right).

And quite an odd color, too.

What do you make of it? Fake? Partscaster?

Location: In a house....unless I'm at work....then I'm in a shop.
It looks right to me, I think the pictures were taken under florescent lamps, if you look at the nut area, the truss rod port was all know is walnut, looks yellowed outsame with the color of the guitar.

If you would like, I live 10 miles from this shop, I could take a run out there this weekend and puts some eyes on it, if you really want it this bad.

There's definitely something not quite right about that guitar...

The only USA Strat they've made recently in that colour is a Highway 1 - but did they have the big headstock in 2006?? I had one of the smaller headstocked ones around that time but can't remember whether it was 05 or 06...

Given that it's pawn shop selling it I doubt they know exactly what they're selling...

Its legit. The Highway one switched to the large headstock in 2006. Those vintage style saddles are correct for the Highway one, blank neck plate is too.

Thanks to all. And I appreciate the offer to go check it out, but I was mainly just curious whether it was the "real thing" or not. I've seen quite a few "partscasters" on eBay recently (some of them looked pretty good, too!).

Thanks again. This is a really good forum.
