I purchased this black beauty in mid-November from an out of state Fender dealer as new
on Ebay still in box. However when I had the strings changed and ordered a full set-up,my local shop said the guitar is F*#$d.The truss rod is frozen and the neck has a slight bend.
After closer look the body has tiny stess lines under the finish.Something is definelty wrong with this guitar. However the guitar shop where I purchased it said to go to the local certified fender repair center, and they will probably get Fender to sent me a new one.
I feel why should I do all the running around, without by new guitar. Please does anyone have any experience in this subject

I'd suggest contacting Fender's customer service directly and seeing what they say. Most likely, they and the shop you bought it from would say it's a warranty issue and needs to be taken / shipped to an authorized warranty / repair center for evaluation and next steps.

Again, I'd contact Fender and see what they say first.

The neck should have a slight bend to it. How much of a bend is it?

Where on the body are the stress lines?

if you bought from an authorized dealer, and still have your receipt, you only have a year for american stdrd strats.
my cp 60s neck had too much of a bow, and the trussrod was at its peak.
i contacted customer service and they sent me to an authorized service center, took 2 weeks however replaced the neck.

Thanks to all.
I contacted Fender Support and they assured me the matter would be resolved.
I first have to take it to a Certified Repair dealer to evaluate the defect.Hopefully a new guitar will be at hand.

Get this . Went to Certified repair. The truss rod seemed ok after all. But now I am stuck with the checking on the body under the clear coat. Fender got back right away to the repair shop and said the store I purcashed from is not an authorized dealer and they would have to do a trace on exactly the guitar was purchased from and should just get my money back. But when i called that store they said bull#%!*. we are a certified dealer .i went online and they are on the top of the list in NC. Now I feel like I'm getting the run around.I think amex might have to step in. I will try tomorrow and call Fender myself and see whats up man@!@@!
