I like the Eric Clapton Strat the best. But for the price I say the Standard.

The best guitar is the one you just can't put down. A guitar that makes you want to get home faster when you have to go to the store. A guitar that you take with you in the car for no particular reason.

I'd have to say the VG Strat. Although it's more expensive, you get way more bang for your buck. People may tell you it's not a true strat, but it really is in every aspect. Plus it has the awesome ability to change tuning on the go with out any whacked out crazy pull/push knobs and what not. You have the choice to play it as a classic American Strat, or play it with a 12 string Baritone (not saying you should, I'm just saying you could).

For me it's the EJ. For others here is a modded MIM.
The best guitar is the one that inspires you to play. I don't care if it's a 64 Melody Maker or a Hello Kitty strat. If you dig it, if the axe opens up your heart....then that is one great guitar.

I like the Highway One Stratocaster because its tone and all of the other great features. And also the price is great.

I don't think any guitar can ever be THE BEST, it's more of the person playing it that makes it sound great

Whatever guitar does two things,

1. Inspires you to practice, play and creat,
2. Cures your GAS.

(I have a couple that do #1 but whether they continue to keep GAS away is questionable)

The reason there are so many guitar models and makes made is that not everyone has the same BEST guitar.
