2007 american stratocaster s/s/s/ blizzard pearl color .

1- Is it routed as a swimming pool body cavity ??( cause im thinking of a H/H pickguard configuration ) ?

2 - in 2007 .. did the neck had the new "tinted neck " or is it the same finish as the previous year (satin urethane or something like that ) . is the finish the same as my 2004 american strat ? i know fender changed the finish of the neck (the fingerboard) , just dont remember what year it was .

3- is it worth paying for a original pickguard (nearly 40 $) when theres a bunch on ebay at 1/2 the price ?? )

thank you .

Fender put the gloss finish on the maple fingerboards with the 2008 American Standards. Don't forget the first runs of the 2008 American Standards had 2007 serial numbers (they were made in November/December of 2007 so Fender could fill order they got at the NAMM show in January). If the trem has the bent saddles it is really a 2008; if it has the same saddles as your 2004 then it is a 2007.

Either way it should be routed like your 2004 under the pickguard - HSH. You should easily be able to put in an HH pickguard.

A pickguard is a pickguard - as long as it is drilled for your year it will work.

here the pic .. and the saddles are different .. mine are like "polished " if that make sense and not "bent" theyre flat .

some say the flat saddles are more confy for palmmuting then the bent .. Dunno if it really change something . But its more about the finish of the fingerboard .. i prefer the old from the new "neck treatment"

n-e way ill keep on looking but this guitar look great .
