Hello to all, this is my first visit to this forum so just saying a quick hello.
I'm mainly a bass player but have had the same Fender Stratocaster (MIJ 57 reissue) that my dad brought me for my 13th birthday some nearly 20 years ago, over the years it has had a lot of play time so to say its a keeper is an understatement !
Ive recently just returned from one of my trips to the U.S so while i was out there .... i picked up a set of Texas Specials for it (along with new pots, selector, jack, black p.g, an a couple of lengths of solid core, wax bradded just to finish the job off) so about to give it a make over. (all original parts will be kept so it wont be an irreversible mod).

Enjoying reading interesting posts on here and hope to be able to contribute to this forum in the future.

Still building up to doing it, just trying to get as much information as possible before hand.
Does anybody know if there is (or has a link) to a serial number data base, it would be nice to find out when it was made.
