I was browsing for 54 Strats ( like you do ) and came across this.

http://www.ioffer.com/i/Fender-54-Reiss ... -122883017

It seems we're all paying far too much for our Fenders.

Ah yes, that must have been the limited run cardboard edition! Vintage cardboard neck, particle board body (with a beautiful Krylon finish mind you)... definitely a sight to behold.

Yes, it is too good to be true. Don't get ripped off. Buy from an authorized Fender dealer and expect to spend a few dollars.

I wouldn't buy that with Monopoly money-it's a sure rip-off.

Well I'm convinced. The seller even states "Don't ask if it's genuine".
While I'm at it, I may as well pick up a Casio G-Shock watch for 15 bucks and a Tiffany bracelet for mum ($20), I wonder if they combine postage.

Upon further inspection, that site is riddled with scammers and counterfeiters. One Artist Series rip-off Strat has "Made in the USA" stickers on it, Fender badges, etc.... But when one reads the description the clown actually has the balls to say "guitar is shipped from our factory in China."

You've got to be #$@*&!% kidding me. If you're going to try to pull a quick one, at least put some effort in. Some people....

The Chinese have no concept of copyright, patents, etc.
God help us when they own the world.

The 'Made in USA' sticker is what the US Strats show, so they include it.
