Does anyone know of a song/songs recorded with a strat and a Marshall?

Have you ever had the exact setup as a musician in one of your favorite songs and gotten "that sound?"

Yeah, a real classiy set up! Best to check all Blackmore stuff on the "Deep Purple" Mark II phase i.e. "In Rock", "Fireball" and "Machine Head". Also one of the best ever live recordings "Made in Japan". Also, Gary Moore on "Corridors of Power" and several live recordings from the early '80s, such as "We want Moore" or "Parisienne Walkways". Furthermore all Yngwie Malmsteen "Rising Force" recordings, but he established his Strats with DiMarzio p/u's, so it's not the real thing somehow... Well, there are lots of other examples existing but don't miss the top of 'em all, listen closely to Jimi Hendrix and you'll know it all about!!!

Cheers!

Before Woodstock (1969) Jimi Hendrix was largely regarded as a circus sideshow act. After his very impressive Woodstock performance he finally got the recognition he deserved. Don't get me wrong, I've always been a diehard Hendrix fan. He's my mentor and I never would've been interested in playing guitar if it weren't for his Star Spangled Banner rendition. At 8 yrs old I knew right then, my goals in life involve playing the guitar.

Didn't Clapton also do some Strat/Marshall stuff in the 60's?

I know in the studio Clapton was a small amp guy. I'm pretty sure Layla and other assorted love songs was recorded using a 50's Champ. 351 Ocean Blvd. was recorded using a Pignose!

I believe Stevie Ray played through a Marshall later in his career also.
