is it a cheaper version? i cant see? its from 2001.

Including the proper case, it looks like a completely legitimate American Standard Strat to me.

Yep, it is a 2001 American Series Stratocaster (replaced the American Standard for a few years).......the first models to include things like better fret and nut work, and rolled fingerboard edges! It looks mint, and I prefer the cast metal saddles this guitar has over the vintage style on the new American Standards.
