Welcome to the Forum.

Usually I would just put in 5 springs and tighten the screws to the trem claw. Also, I recommend doing a complete setup.

I also use 5 springs and tighten the screws to the tremclaw plate.
+1 for a new set-up!

+1 on 5 springs and a setup. Will do the job, heck my mexi has 3 springs in V and it keeps the trem decked well. American strats with 3 black springs have less tension and you will need 5 if you are using a .11 or larger strings (cables as people call them).

Now that will do the job but you can fashion a piece of hardwood to jam between the block and the body for supposable "better" sound transfer. I have not tried this last bit yet, just read it in the past.

Hope that helps.

Don't unscrew anything. Do as the others have suggested.

Well to be frank, their wrong, absolutely wrong. You never need to touch any of the six screws on the leading edge of the tremplate. Those are the screws visible from the front of the guitar inbetween the saddles and bridge pickup. They play absolutely no part in setting the height of the bridge. They are a anchor to stop the bridge section moving towards the pickups, nothing more.
The two screws on the modern 2 point bridge do play a part in determining how far back the tremplate can rest, IF they are not set up right. Perhaps these 'others' are getting confused with the two types of trem.

I really suggest you get the guitar into a shop and tell them you want the trem blocked. They will either insert a wooden block between the trem's inertia block and the cavity wall. Or tighten the trem claw springs, to the point that the trem sits flush on the face of the body.

A = Tighten up claw screws, just don't over tighten them.
B = Add more springs.
C = Cut a piece of wood to size and wedge it in between the trem block and body.

A & B will work just fine, wanna go totally overkill then A, B & C :D
