I am just starting a project to build a complete 1964 strat with all original parts. Its probably the only way i will get near owning an untouched unmolested 64.
Its probably gonna cost the best part of 5k to build and it will be done over the next couple of years. Can't afford to do it all in one go.
Is there anybody on here who has done a 50s or 60s project on here? I would be very grateful if you could let me know how you went on, and the pitfalls of buying seperate parts.
I do have a good knowledge base on 60s vintage strats, but would love to listen to anyone with any advice on this subject.

I believe the OP is talking about buying vintage parts and assembling them ... right?

Will that be cheaper than buying one that's all together?
