$1,500 each sounds a little steep to me. Maybe that's the real street price, but sounds a little on the high side to me.

Here's my take on his 4 guitars:

1979 Original - believe it or not I've seen original late 70s Strats going for $1,750-$1,900 at the local used/vintage dealer here. However, the seller says "original" but it has a white pickguard. I think it's a 1981 "International Colours" series in black; those had a white pickguard. As a 1981 $1,500 would be the max I've ever seen for one of these, and certainaly not a black one; a black one would be more like $1,200-$1,300.

1982 Hard tail Special Order Color - huh? I don't see a special order color, just a black hard tail. From the shot I can't tell if it is a large headstock/3-bolt or a small headstock/4 bolt "Smith Strat". Either way, $1,500 is a bit much; more like $1,200-$1,300.

1988 Leo Fender SC-3 - Some Leo-era G&Ls are worth more than others; this one isn't one of those models. It's not a rare color so $1K max, maybe a bit less.

1973 Custom - I have no idea what that is; not enough details to value. I'm guessing some kind of modded 70s Strat or a parts guitar.
